If you have played Rimworld and maybe a few other games that focus on colony-building, you'll understand DF's basics in terms of the sorts of things you need to do, build, be aware of, etc. Any tips for a new player would also be appreciated I'm okay at rimworld, but I've been told this game is on another level of complexity. If you want more tutorials, look for blind on youtube (and probably a few others), he made a let's play-ish tutorial in the steam release that explains most of what you need to know to start having fun. The interface alone was a huge part of the learning difficulty in this game, so it should be way easier to get into it now. The ingame tutorial is very basic, still way better than before since there was none, and the interface is a lot more intuitive than it used to be.
